“Celebrity Apprentice” attempts to rebound from prior seasons failures with the addition of over the top C and D List celebrities.

Love him or Hate him Gene Simmons’ deliberate, condescending sexism makes Trump look like a real gentleman. With their unrestrained attacks on one another, Piers Morgan and Omarosa (all together now: Who?) make Trump seem downright kindly.

And so far, all have conspired to send the message that nice is for losers. The women’s team, saddled with such sweethearts as Marilu Henner, lost both of the first two challenges. Each time, a quiet, hapless woman was “fired,” and seemed relieved to exit.

Tonight, in a sort of twisted punishment for both sides, Trump puts Simmons in charge of the women’s team.
